Departure 08:30.

Departure from Thessaloniki to eastern Greece . Stop for coffee at Moustheni . We continue to Amphipolis, where we stop at the junction of the river Strymon for a traditional photo with the Lion of Amphipolis . From afar, we see the signs of the current excavations and we continue to the point where, for the very first time in Europe, Apostle St. Paul preached Christianity. Philippi holds a special position in the history of the world, because the most famous battle of Romans took place here – The battle of Philippoi. We will visit the site of the excavations (theater, basilicas, market, Egnatia Street, Apostle Pavlos’s prison, etc.), and the small, but wonderful, museum of Philippoi . We continue for the Baptistery of Lydia, where Lydia was baptized as a Christian . From there, we will arrive at one of the most beautiful cities of Northern Greece, Kavala .

Free time for lunch and then we will walk in the old city. After drinking a coffee, departure for Thessaloniki .
